I was really sad, when my Mummy and Daddy told me we were leaving for a 3 year period to live in the USA. I knew I would miss my Grandfather and Grandmother, my cousin Nele and my friends. I could not speak any English, but I picked it up very quickly, also because I took extra lessons at home. Driving to school every day in the yellow school bus with my friend Marlee was fun, we always had a lot to talk about. The food in my favourite restaurant "Paneery Bread restaurant" is so good, especially their bread and broccoli cream soup. Mummy prefers the salads. Whenever my parents suggested to stop at Starbucks I would scream: "Yes"!!! I Loved to slurp my chocolate and lounge in the comfortable chairs. Our house in West Bloomfield, (Detroit area) was just great. I loved my room, it was so large and on the second floor!
Now, we are back in Frankfurt, and I miss my friends from West Bloomfield a lot! Of course we mail each other, and I look forward to the summertime when I can see them again, be it just for the holidays.
