Max: Grade 5
My Life in Libya
Hello, I am Max. Our school has grades 1-8, we are a total of 35 pupil and 6 teachers. School routine is a little different here, the school week goes from Sundays through Thursdays, rather than Mondays through Fridays. One of the greatest features in Libya is its location on the sea. During the summer we swim almost every day, the beach line is about 2000 kilometres long. But we tend to swim in the area of Tripoli. My brother Carlo caught some fish, crabs and even an octopus! In the direct area to Tripoli you can visit to sites with old Roman Ruins: Leptis Magna and Sabratha. You can still see how the Romans used to live, cool!Further south you can go through the desert, can not wait to visit! Most Libyan people are friendly and willing to help, especially to kids! On the street strange people walk up to you to stroke or even kiss you!!At the vegetable market or even in the supermarket you often get fruit or sweets presented to you. Unfortunately the country is dirty, there is litter everywhere. On the whole I give a 3+.. this a like a B minor
