Kenny: Grade 4
My Life in Libya
When you ask me - nothing has really changed: I go to school, I eat lunch and go to bed. And still things are different f.i.: I must speak Arabic, improve my English, fight against the flying sand and that I need to do everyday! In winter the temperatures can rise up to 25 degree centigrade, and I only where a jacket when it rains, otherwise I never wear a jacket. In the summertime it is HOT. The colour of your skin plays no role here and you make many "Sadics" ( Friends). Most people are nice, some are not so good, especially when they drive a car. You will see both beautiful houses and real dumps. We have money and even German television. A bit of luxury is available as well. Yeah, the Internet is a bit slow and not as reliable, but it is up and running for the most time. The beach is fantastic and holidays... are simply fantastic. There are many international schools in Libya. Covered swimming pools and water glides are rare. Bad news for film fans, there are no cinema's!As a travel Tipp I rate Libya with the super duper grade A plus! Even when Libya is but a spot on the world map, it's power lies in the many wonders and other miracles. Technical and Company ... no not really. Cars with a steering wheel - yes; a driver with a brain are rare. Even when you think they really do not know how to drive, they still have a drivers licence. A piece of Sahara is my gift to you, - look, and marvel at this wonder that you have never seen before. That is my take on Libya, for you!
